On February 17, 2021, Mr. Do Minh Tuan – Chairman of Thanh Hoa People’s Committee and other officials deployed the plan to start production at the beginning of the year & Arbor Day for Lunar New Year 2021 of Long Son Cement Plant.

On the occasion of new year, the Chairman of Thanh Hoa People’s Committee wished the company employees health, happiness, successful fulfilling of goals, production and business plans in 2021 to contribute to general development of province.

Mr. Trinh Quang Hai – General Director of Long Son Cement Plant reported on business results and targets for 2021

At the ceremony, Mr. Trinh Quang Hai – General Director of Long Son Cement Company gave a brief report on business results of the company in the past year. Accordingly, in 2020, Long Son Cement Plant successfully completed the plan in terms of both production and output for domestic consumption & export, as well as maintained stable income for more than 1,300 employees working at the plant.

Also in the past year, the company invested in construction of over 95% and put Line 3 into operation by the end of December 2020. At the same time, the company is also conducting investment procedures to build Line 4, which is expected to start in the first quarter of 2021.

The company is also investing in the construction of two general ports in Nghi Son Economic Zone (port No. 7 and No. 8); currently they have been completed and put into use since December 2020 with the length of 500m and can accommodate vessels of 70,000 tons offloading. It is expected that by the end of February 2021, it will be put into operation because the port channel is currently under dredging.

For the project of Long Son Cement Grinding Station in Nghi Son Economic Zone, up to now, 75% of the construction and 40% of the processing and installation has been completed. It is expected that by the end of May 2021, it will be put into production.

As per targets in 2021, the company strives to continue improving the lives of workers, stably operating 3 production lines and carrying out construction of line 4. It is also aimed at completing other projects in Nghi Son Economic Zone and continuing to implement port projects No. 9 and 10 of Long Son General Port; investing back in port No. 5 and port No. 6 for container ports; completing the procedures for project of Long Son Industrial Cluster and Lach Sung Inland Seaport by the end of 2021.

With the results achieved, the Chairman of Thanh Hoa People’s Committee was very pleased and highly appreciated the efforts and aspirations of the company. Looking back on the way of operation in recent years, both production and revenue of the company have always grown dramatically. At the same time, the company continues to deploy and accelerate the construction of ports and projects that have been approved to put into operation as scheduled. It can be said that these are very impressive results and miraculous breakthroughs, demonstrating the dynamic, creative, right direction of the Board of Directors and all staff, especially in the difficult context, complicated pandemic situations in the country as well as worldwide.
