Long Son Cement – Support to overcome flood damage in Thanh Hoa.

On 10/10, Mr. Pham Van Bac – Director of Construction Materials Department (Ministry of Construction) had a meeting with representatives of Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee on the progress and remedial work after the flood that has just happened in Thanh Hoa province.

According to statistics after the flood and rain, Thanh Hoa had 38 people died and missing, hundreds of houses, hectares of crops, thousands of cattle and poultry were buried, the infrastructure and traffic were badly damaged. The total estimated damage is up to 2,000 billion VND. To help the locality quickly improve facilities, the Ministry of Construction has supported 1,000 tons of cement for people in flood and storm areas. In particular, Long Son Cement contributes to support 500 tons. Accordingly, the quantity of cement will be used primarily for the construction of houses, infrastructure for the two most severely damaged areas in the past flood of Quan Hoa and Muong Lat Districts.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr. Nguyen Duc Quyen – Standing Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa province, expressed his gratitude for the shared interest of the Ministry of Construction and the benefactors. Thanh Hoa authorities are still urgently overcoming the consequences, giving priority to taking care of life, building infrastructure for the damaged households so that people can feel secured welcoming Tet holiday.
